Walk: The Helm For: All Duration: 2 hours Distance / Ascent: 2 miles / 400 ft Grading: Easy. No stiles. The gentler gradients will be used. Description: Probably missing from Wainwright's "Outlying Fells of Lakeland" only because it is outside the National Park boundary the Helm provides a superb, easily accessible 360 degree panorama of the South Lakes and Kendal (weather permitting!). Possibly an ideal short excursion at the end of the Festival before a long journey home. Meeting Place: Burton Road, Oxenholme.
