Walk: The Scars and Woods of Kendal.

Distance / Ascent: 13 miles/1446ft.
Grading: Strenuous.
Description: We start at Kendal Tourist information centre and head out to Kettlewell Crag. From there it’s our first Scar of the day Cunswick Scar.
From there we pass the historic Cunswick Hall on the way up to the 2nd Scar of the day, Scout Scar. After seeing some of the best views in the southern Lakes we pass through Honeybee woods to our final Scar Burnbarrow Scar.
Now on our return home we pass such delights as the 1726 Church of Saint John Helsington and Hawes Bridge before walking along the River Kent back to our starting point.
Meeting Place: Located at the Town Hall in Kendal, surrounded by a choice of local cafes and shops for last minute fuelling.
