Arnside Knott

Walk: A moderate walk to Arnside Knott with panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells.

For: Adults.

Duration: 3.5 hours.

Distance / Ascent: 5.5 miles/8.7 km, 815 ft/248 m.

Grading: Moderate.

Description: Close views of the impressive Kent Railway Viaduct, and then walk initially alongside the estuary taking in areas of woodland, followed by a steady climb up to Arnside Knott providing some lovely views towards Morecambe Bay and Grange over Sands with higher Lakeland Fells to the North.

Equipment: Please use appropriate walking boots and have waterproof  gear including trousers with extra layers in case of cold conditions. In addition a packed lunch and adequate drinks/water.
