cowgill, dent and sedbergh

Walk: A moderate walk of 5 or 10 miles by the River Dee.

For: Adults and Children.

Duration: 5 hours.

Distance / Ascent: 10 miles/16 km, 600 ft/180 m or a shorter 5 mile version.

Grading: Moderate.

Description: The walk follows the Dales Way beside the River Dee.  At about half way we will visit the pretty cobbled village of Dent. For those who want a shorter walk there is the opportunity for walkers to either finish or start a 5-mile walk at Dent.

Meeting Places: For the minibus: 9.00am Kendal Leisure Centre Car park.

The minibus will take all walkers to Cowgill and drop off those who wish to start from there.  It will then go to Dent.  Those who wish to start from Dent will wait there for the main group.

1.00pm: Dent Car Park: Minibus departs for Sedbergh with those opting for the shorter walk from Cowgill and ending at Dent.

Return: 4.00pm Loftus Hill Car Park, Sedbergh: Minibus departs for return to Kendal.
