Summer on the Sizergh Estate

Walk: A moderate walk of 5 miles through the Sizergh Estate taking in woodlands and limestone grasslands.

For: Adults.

Duration: 3 - 4 hours.

Distance / Ascent: 5 miles/8 km, 654 ft/200 m.

Grading: Moderate.

Description: May is a beautiful time of the year on the Sizergh estate, with lush growth and dappled light filling our woodlands, providing the perfect conditions for butterflies and insects to thrive. This walk will also take in the diverse floral displays of the limestone grasslands and the promise of new life on the wetland, before returning to Sizergh via St Johns Church, Helsington with incredible views over Morecambe bay and the Lakeland fells.
