Walk: A 2.5-mile guided walk along the ridge of the Helm. The Helm is situated near Oxenholme, just south east of Kendal and although not a very high hill at 185m, it gives beautiful views.

Meet the native fell ponies and rare breed cattle who graze here, get to know more about the conservation work that Friends of the Lake District have undertaken here, explore the site of an iron age hill fort, see the diverse wildlife who frequent the tarn and enjoy 360 degree views from Morecambe Bay right over into the Lake District fells.

Equipment: Waterproofs if it looks like rain. Sun hat and sunscreen if it looks like sun. Sturdy footwear (walking boots or similar). Please bring water and any snacks you wish.
Dogs: Dogs are permitted but must be kept under control and on a lead at all times.
