Walk: Spectacular walking tour of the shapely Howgill Fells.

Description: The Howgills are generally very rounded and unthreatening, with a mixture of valley paths, steep grass paths, bogs, grassy slopes, broad high mountain ridges, streamside paths, and mountain stream crossings. This route will take in some of the very best that the Howgills have to offer, Cautley Spout waterfall which is reputedly England’s largest with a drop of 180m and spectacular views (weather dependant) of the Lakes to the west, the Dales to the south and east, and the Pennines to the north from the summit of the Calf.
This is a circular route – full day activity.
Meeting Place: MINIBUS from Kendal Leisure Centre at 9.00am to Cross Keys Temperance Inn, Cautley for a 09:30am walk start.
