Troutbeck, Baystones and Wansfell Pike

Walk: A strenuous walk with great views of Windermere.

For: Adults only.

Duration: 4.5 hours.

Distance / Ascent: 8.5 miles/13 km, 1800 ft/550 m.

Grading: Strenuous.

Description:  A walk which takes in part of the picturesque Troutbeck Valley prior to the ascent of Baystones and Wansfell Pike, providing (subject to weather conditions) some great views of Windermere Lake, and towards Grasmere and the higher fells including Red Screes.

Equipment: Please use appropriate walking boots and have waterproof  gear including trousers with extra layers in case of cold conditions. In addition a packed lunch and adequate drinks/water.
